Clean Green Specialty Contractors Program Overview
Our Clean Green Program specifically targets contractors focused on window washing, commercial tank and truck washing, building cleaning (both interior and exterior), and other infrastructures. All of the targeted industries have a wash, cleaning and/or environmental component.

Targeted Classes details:
Window cleaning contractors are engaged primarily in cleaning windows of various sizes and types and located at various heights, both interior and exterior, in residences and commercial structures, especially multi-story office buildings and institutions, such as hospitals and schools. Other activities which window cleaners may offer are activities such as:
- Power washing
- Screen repair and cleaning
- Graffiti removal
- Store awning or marine fabric cleaning
- Glass restoration
Most power washing activities are conducted outside. Pressure washing consists of the following types of cleaning:
- House washing
- Roof cleaning
- Fence and deck cleaning
- Fence and deck staining
- Fence and deck restoration
The cleaning of commercial vehicles methods range from a simple soap bucket, brush and hose to elaborate gantry systems. The following are the different wash systems which are used:
- Gantry with brush and/or high-pressure
- Drive through brush and/or high-pressure
- Mobile truck wash operators
- Manual wash facilities
Contractors of commercial and carrier-owned tank cleaning facilities specialize in the interior cleaning of tanks. Cleaning can be done by chemical application, sandblasting, or flushing the tank with water. The type and lining of tank, whether contents are under pressure or not, as well as the previous contents and future use of the tank, usually dictate the cleaning method used. Previous contents of the tank are a critical concern, especially in the case of chemicals, reactive substances, toxins, or any type of hazardous materials.
Depending on the type and size of the tank, cleaning operations are usually conducted at the job site of the customer; however, in some cases, such as railroad or truck tanks, the tanks are brought to the cleaner's yard site.
