NSM's TankInsure Storage Tank Liability Insurance
Program is designed for Owners or Operators of Underground (UST)
or Aboveground (AST) Storage Tank Systems:

For most Insureds, this is the first and only environmental insurance product
they will purchase.

TANKINSURE meets the requirements for Financial
Responsibility as set forth in 40 CFR 280.

This program is available in all states.
The EPA has found over 358,000 leaking Underground
Storage Tanks (USTs). A simple UST leak can cost the
owner/operator thousands in fines and cleanup!! State Corrective Action Trust
Funds are slowly discontinuing the acceptance of corrective action and cleanup
cost reimbursement claims. Enforcement of storage tank regulations is
increasing at the State and Federal EPA levels.

Upon inspection, private UST owners/operators are required to show proof of
financial responsibility – TANKINSURE meets the requirements for Financial
Responsibility.

Eligibility Guidelines:

Available in all states
- Insured must be the Owner or Operator of an operating
UST or AST
- Regulated USTs must meet the Federal
technical standards under 40 CFR 280 or equitable state
standards
- Unregulated USTs utilize a monthly leak detection monitoring system or
annual tightness test with inventory control, is constructed of corrosive
resistant materials or has corrosion protection, and has overfill and spill
prevention systems in place
