- Can you write New Entities?
- Yes we can consider new entities in the following two situations:
- If in business at least 1 year with a resume showing significant construction experience as a jobsite supervisor or project manager.
- If a partnership split up and the insured was the partner that managed the residential construction operation.
- Do you require all insured subs or how do you handle uninsured subs?
- We require all subs be insured with like GL Occurrence limits to the insured.
- Uninsured subs jeopardize continued coverage for the insured.
- Do you write Roofers (or Excavation contractors or some other trade contractor type)?
- No we only provide coverage for the Homebuilder GC. Norman-Spencer (Brian Norman) has a trade contractor program 800-543-3248.
- Do you write in New York?
- Yes, depending on location. We write from Orange and Putnam Counties north. We do not write south of them or on Long Island.
- Do you write Workers’ Compensation?
- No, however, we have a Monoline Workers’ Comp department that will look at your insured. Call Chip Clausen at 800-970-9778 x 154.
- Can you write a builder that has not carried insurance in the past?
- No.
- Do you write Re-modelers?
- a. Yes, as long as they are not performing Fire or Flood Restoration work or Flipping Houses.
